01 / THE GAME

Boost over cover. Drop into a firefight. Find a new angle before the other team does. JETBREAK brings the spirit of classic 2D shooters into a new set of battlegrounds.

Jump into a local match with bots, or host up to eight players and share your server address with friends.

MAKE EVERY LIFE COUNT.

Buy your loadout, plant or defuse the bomb, and fight for the round. When you’re out, follow your teammates. First to five wins.

CHANGE THE LANDSCAPE.

Arc a grenade into cover. Carve a path through destructible soil on two maps. Permanent bedrock keeps the fight inside the battlefield.

FIND YOUR OWN FIGHT.

Switch to Capture the Flag or Deathmatch. Choose armor and accent colors for your pilot, remap your controls, and turn fog of war or bots on when you want them.

First time opening the game?

Mac: This early build is not Apple-notarized. After trying to open it, macOS may offer Open Anyway in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Only approve the app if you trust this download. Apple’s guide.

Windows: Extract all files before launching. This build is unsigned, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher notice. The release includes SHA-256 checksums to verify your download.

Once it opens, choose Quick Play for a local match with bots. Start with A / D to move, Space to jump, right mouse to use your jets, and left mouse to fire. Every action can be remapped in Controls.

Can I play by myself?

Yes. Quick Play starts a local match with bots by default. No account or internet connection is needed for that. You can also disable bots in match setup.

How do I play with friends?

One player selects Host a Match. Other players select Join and enter the host’s IP address or hostname. Everyone needs version 0.20.1. Internet hosting needs a reachable UDP port 27025, which may require port forwarding. There is no public matchmaking or server browser yet.

Can I use a controller?

Yes. Move with the left stick, aim with the right, use LT / L2 for jets and RT / R2 to fire. Keyboard, mouse and controller bindings can all be changed in Controls. Controller support is still being playtested.

Is this the finished game?

This is a free early build. Movement, balance, bots and maps are still evolving. Ranked matchmaking and hosted quick-play servers are not available yet. Report a bug or share feedback on GitHub.

Can I run a dedicated server?

Yes. The Linux x86-64 server download includes instructions. It hosts up to eight players per match, with optional bots. This export has not yet been tested on Linux.
